I know this is but one brand, but a 43% growth in the sale of McGuigan AF wine since 2020 says something. The growing number of good quality AF drinks is an obvious recognition by the alcohol industry that there is money to be made from this growing movement.
When I first started drinking AF in 2020 I couldn't stand the taste of Becks Blue, but now its not so bad. Also Heineken Zero seems to be everywhere and even on draft in some of my local pubs.
So, have the drinks changed, or have my taste buds adapted to not having an addictive poison mixed with all that sugar and flavourings?
